mZuri

In her tribute to one of the Mother of Voting Rights...
“The Fannie Lou Hamer Story”

mZURI AS A SINGER:

Though noted most for her role of Lucy in the film "Sankofa" and her historical re-enactment of voting rights activist, Fannie Lou Hamer, mZuri's stage presence is powerful with a voice as beautful as her name: strong, mesmerizing and steeped in the richness of her soulfulness-- whether mZuri is singing a rocking melody, a sultry love song or a touching spiritual, one cannot help but know they are in the presence of stardom.

mZuri is available as a solo artist, with a live ensemble or tracks.  A critic once wrote, "When mZuri sings, God smiles and angels flap their wings!"

mZURI 's stirring Off Broadway One Woman Show::
"The Fannie Lou Hamer Story"

THE WOMAN, THE LEGEND, AND HER SONGS
ON A RUGGED ROAD TO FREEDOM

Through poetry, song and prose, relive the life of this unsung heroine of the movement for civil and voting rights.
